Autumn Skincare Picks

As much as I love Autumn I'm not a huge fan of the dropping temperatures and my skin doesn't seem to be too happy about it either! The seasonal weather change can leave my skin feeling dry and more sensitive than usual. These are a few products I use to prevent dry, itchy skin during the fall and winter seasons. I hope you find this post helpful :)

Starting with cleansers, at this time of the year I'm all about oil based cleansers or cleansing balms. Not only is it a really gentle way to remove all of your makeup I also find it extremely relaxing as you can give yourself a little facial massage while getting all the dirt off your skin. My favourite products are The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter or the Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Cleansing Oil. You could also use oils that you already have in your kitchen such as coconut oil, avocado oil or castor oil. My personal favourite is avocado oil as it's very moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling so good afterwards.

Another must have product in my Autumn/Winter skincare routine are hydrating serums. They can really help to put the moisture back into your skin. The one I've been enjoying lately is The Body Shop Overnight Serum-in-Oil. I only apply this in the evenings before I go to bed and I always wake up with plump looking skin. This product is definitely a winner!

For lips I highly recommend the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. This is seriously the best lip balm I've tried so far to prevent my lips from chapping during the colder months and let me tell you I used to have the most dry, chapped lips you can imagine. My lips feel so plump and hydrated after slathering this on, I love it. As a side note, I also exfoliate my lips once or twice a week with my regular toothbrush and I always use this straight afterwards. Best combination ever!

Finally, for moisturizer I started using baby moisturizer. I know these kind of moisturizer aren't necessarily targeted for people at my age but still, if it’s good for your baby it’s most definitely okay for adults to use too. As a matter of fact baby lotion are the perfect solution for people who have really sensitive skin, because of its mild formula, they’re easy to absorb and leave my skin perfectly moisturized. I know it's weird but I kinda like my skin smelling like a clean baby haha.

What are your A/W skincare essentials?
