January Favourites 2015

Oh boy, it's been a while since I last posted a monthly favourites here on my blog and I guess I’m a bit early with my favourites this month, but I actually have quite a few great products to share with you so I thought why not post this early? It’s an odd mix of products and things this time, skincare, makeup and random favourites like my favourite TV show...

Let's start with makeup, shall we? I finally got to try the Makeup Forever HD Foundation - (47€) this month and oh my this is a great foundation! This is one of the few foundations that I have found offers a flawless coverage without looking mask-like or flat on your skin. I use my beauty blender to apply this foundation and the end result is always so natural and smooth looking. The finish is semi-matte and very natural - it doesn't cling to dry patches and as it is a silicone based formula you don't necessarily have to use a primer underneath. If you would be interested in a review on this foundation just let me know and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you :) I have mentioned in a previous post how I've rediscovered my love for the original Urban Decay Naked Palette - (45€) lately, so this is what I've been using for my eye makeup this month. Gorgeous shades, great pigmentation and perfect for every day use. Next up is my favourite blush Nars Sin - (30€). I have worn this blush almost every single day since I got it, it's this gorgeous mixture of mauvy plum and threaded golden shimmer, applies smoothly with a seamless finish and the pigmentation is insanely nice. You can read my review on this blush (here) if you're interested. I also got to try the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - (6€) this month and I have to say, I even prefer it over the Collection 2000 concealer. I mostly use this concealer under my eyes as it gives a medium coverage and brightens up the under eye area nicely. I highly recommend this concealer, it's affordable and does the job! Last but not least is a lipstick, or to be more precisely, a lipstick I've been hunting down for bloody months! MAC Brave Lipstick - (20€). I have to thank Kylie Jenner for bringing me to the attention of this lipstick, Brave is a rosy, neutral pink with a satin finish. It’s very creamy and applies like a dream. The formula is smooth and doesn’t accentuate flaky lips.

Moving on to skin & hair care I have one product for each category for you. Skincare wise, I've been really enjoying my La Roche Posay Serozinc Toner - (3€). I just posted a review on this product (here) basically, Serozinc is a zinc sulphate solution that aims to sooth the skin if you're suffering from breakouts or inflamed skin. It works really well for me and definitely helps to calm my skin and keeps the odd spot at bay. Haircare wise, I've been loving the Argan Oil Of Morocco Treatment Hair Oil. It works absolutely perfect for my hair, very lightweight, helps to lock in moisture and leaves my hair super soft and frizz free. What more could you ask for?

Besides all the beauty and makeup stuff I have a new favourite Tv show this month and I have literally no idea why I didn't start watching this earlier. Revenge is one of the best series I've watched in a long time. This is the Hamptons drama I've always wanted. Basically, there's a girl called Emily and when she was young her dad got framed and locked up in prison for a crime he didn't commit. After a few years she returns to the Hamptons with a new name and a plan to take revenge out on the people who put him in prison and got him killed. It is such an exciting and compelling story you have to watch it! You wont be disappointed!

What have you been loving this month?
