April Favourites 201529 April 2015
Let's start with skincare, shall we? I was watching Rachel Talbot's body skincare routine video and let's be real here, her skin is glowing and absolutely gorgeous so any advice is very much appreciated! She was using the Weleda Skin Food Moisturizer (14€) all over her body mixed with the Tarte Maracuja Oil (40€) and so I thought, I have a tube of this Weleda moisturizer in my bathroom, why not give it a try? Oh my, this stuff is awesome! I mix it with Avocado oil and it feels incredible on the skin! To be honest, I'm usually quite lazy when it comes to moisturizing my body, mainly because, you know, it's a pain in the
arse and takes bloody ages, but it is so so important. My skin definitely looks more radiant and glowing especially when I dry brush my body and then use this moisturizer/oil combination! No excuses people, moisturize your body not just your face!
Makeup wise, I've been rediscovering my love for the Too Faced Eye Love Palette (25€) - these eye shadows are just amazing and literally any colour combination works. They are all beautifully pigmented, just like any other Too Faced eye shadows and they last all day, go on smooth and blend well. This palette is quite old but I still found it on Amazon if you're interested! My next favourite is the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint (30€) - I just adore this foundation. It's blends perfectly into the skin and feels very lightweight, so it's perfect for the warmer weather. I'd say it's got a sheer to medium coverage but it's definitely buildable! It evens out my skin tone nicely and just makes my whole complexion look really healthy and glowing - even though it's matte! The Benefit Hoola Bronzer (30€) is an old favourite of mine too. It applies so well and doesn't look orange-y on my skin like some other bronzer tend to do. I also really like the packaging - compact and cute! Last but now least, I also have a favourite nail polish this month! Yup - you guessed it right, it's from Essie. I'm so boring when it comes to buying nail polish but you just can't go wrong with Essie can you? The shade I've been loving is Essie Resort Fling (8€) It’s a gorgeous peachy shade but in an orangey-corally sort of way, I'd almost call it a pastel because it's really sheer. You'll definitely need a good 2-3 coats to get an opaque finish. This shade gets me really excited for summer too!
Now onto my favourite series: One word - Revenge! This series is just my absolute favourite. I'm currently on season 4 and I actually just watched the last two episodes and it's getting intense people! You never know what happens next and that's what makes the whole story so thrilling and exciting, it just never gets boring! Do you watch Revenge? My favourite song of the month has definitely been Satellite Stories - Heartbeat! I literally have this song on repeat 24/7, it is one of those songs that I will always keep coming back to, also one that I listened to and instantly loved. It’s really good what can I say?
My favourite blog is not really a 'monthly favourite' more of an all time favourite/obsession kinda thing. I'm talking about Anabelle and her blog VivaLuxury - oh my goodness this girl gives me serious style and makeup envy, she is absolutely gorgeous and her sense of fashion and style is right up my alley! Her photos are always incredible, professional and I could spend ages scrolling through her blog looking at her gorgeous face and outfit choices! If I could swap my wardrobe with anyone in the world it would be with her!
