Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipsticks20 June 2015
Makeup Revolution is a brand I always hear amazing things about, I wish I could find it in my local drugstores. However, I was browsing the Kosmetik4Less website a few weeks ago (like I do every day), and I was beyond excited when I saw that they're selling Makeup Revolution products on their site! I wanted to try the new Iconic Pro lipsticks after reading some rave reviews so I bought 5 shades: No Perfection Yet, Not In Love, Liberty, Somewhere Out There & It Eats You Up. Most of them are really bright and not something I would wear on a daily basis but that's what I love about makeup, trying out new looks and colours!
The packaging looks very similar to the MAC lipsticks but I actually prefer the rose gold details! Yes I'm one of those people - rose gold obsessed! On the bottom you get a little insert with the colour of the lipstick which is very handy when choosing the lipstick without having to open it. Oh and by the way, some of the shades also make great dupes for MAC lipsticks like Heroine! There are 20 shades to choose from, some of them also have a matte & glossy version.
As you can tell from the swatches above, those lipsticks are crazy pigmented! I picked up a mixture of matte and glossy finishes. The matte formula is a little bit drying on my lips but other than that I'm very happy with the formulas. No Perfection Yet is a very beautiful maroon-ish purple colour and reminds me of MAC Rebel! I love wearing shades like this one in Autumn and Winter. Not In Love is a wearable coral red shade with a satin finish and I can definitely see myself wearing this lipstick loads this summer. Next we have Liberty the shade I was most excited about! It's got a matte finish, just like Heroine by MAC and it's basically an exact dupe to this shade. Somewhere Out There is an intense neon orange with a creamy satin finish. I have a slight obsession with orange this summer so I'm excited to wear this lipstick. Last but not least, It Eats You Up is a very bright barbie pink colour with a matte finish and a lot of people say it's the perfect dupe for MAC Candy Yum Yum! (which I don't own myself) but the swatches do look very similar!
For only £2.49 these lipsticks are amazing and it's well worth picking up a couple of shades from Makeup Revolution!
