Glowy Summer Skin16 July 2015
Hey guys, today I wanted to share my current go-to (really simple) makeup look for summer. It's been boiling hot the past few weeks and I love it so much - Also, it's my birthday today so this is the look I'm gonna be wearing throughout the day! I had to switch up some of my makeup to products that stand up to the humidity - because I'd rather not melt in the beautiful heat of the sun...
Learning how to prevent makeup from melting in hot weather is key if you want to look your best so - light, shear and waterproof makeup will be your best friend. To prepare my skin before makeup, the first thing I use is the Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser (18€) to remove oil and all traces of dirt on my face. I love this cleanser because it only contains natural, simple ingredients that won't damage my skin. I will then use my favourite sunscreen, the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration (5€) and I'm all ready to start applying my makeup!
I love using the Makeup Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer (30€) because it is water based and feels so light on my skin. Contains Hyaluronate which holds water and basically acts like a moisture magnet. My skin looks a lot plumper whenever I use this. I have combination, very dehydrated skin and this primer works amazing for me. I will then use the tiniest amount of my BareMineral Complexion Rescue Foundation (27€) to even out my skin tone. I've raved about this product so many times now so I'll just leave you my review to read here. For concealer, I'm currently using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (8€) to brighten up my under eye area.
Now onto my favourite part - I've recently bought the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette (31€) when I was in France and I'm downright obsessed with this product. It is BEAUTIFUL. You get a bronzer, highlighter and blush in a very handy, compact palette. The colours are gorgeous and work so well for my skin tone. A must have for hot summer days is waterproof mascara! I'm using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (8€) in Waterproof and it works just as well as the original version. Last but not least I'm using my new favourite lipstick and it is, surprise, surprise by MAC! This MAC Lipstick in the shade Modesty (20€) is the perfect everyday nude. As soon as I applied it on my lips in the store I thought "where have you been all my life?" It's such a natural nude/pinkish shade and the Cremesheen finish is very moisturizing on my lips.
