Highlighter is my absolute favourite part of my makeup routine. I used to only wear mattifying products when I was younger due to my oily skin type but nowadays dewy, highlighted skin is by far my favourite, especially when it looks like you are glowing from within! So, today I wanted to share with you my Top 3 Favourite Highlighters. I have more high end highlighters than I do from the drugstore because I feel like the drugstore lacks those amazing highlighters. If you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments, but I have yet to find an affordable highlighter that I really like.

I like to apply it to the tops of my cheekbones, down the center of my nose and a light dusting in the inner corners of my eyes and cupids bow to give the illusion of a pouty and full lip. My favourite way to apply highlighter is with my Zoeva Luxe Highlighter Brush 105 (13€) or with the Real Techniques Setting Brush (10€). I think it is important that highlighter brushes feel soft and light on the skin. It's best if they have a tapered edge because they work great for precise application and the smaller size also helps with more delicate areas of the face.

This highlight has gained a special place in my heart makeup stash ever since I bought it and I pretty much use it everyday. Even if I don't wear foundation, I put a little bit of this beaut on and I already feel like I have my life together. (I'm not being overly dramatic here) The powder is very finely milled and extremely pigmented, so a quick swirl with my highlighter brush and I’m left with the perfect amount of glow. That being said, this product will literally last you forever. It is a beautiful warm toned peach/bronze colour with a metallic finish. (I can also spot a hint of champagne) Even though I would classify this as a warm-toned highlighter, it suits fair skin tones amazingly well.

Ever since I started blogging, I've been hearing people raving about the Mary Lou Manizer. It is definitely a cult blogging product and now I see why everyone seems to love it so much. It is a beautiful, soft champagne shade with gold tones. I like that it isn't glittery, nor does it feel heavy on the skin. The texture is smooth, buttery soft & extremely pigmented. It adds so much glow to the face and looks flattering on all skin tones.

Now, in all honesty this little palette deserves it's own blog post (and I'm working on it) but let's just talk about the highlighter today. I wish Urban Decay sold these highlighters separately because they're that beautiful. The palette I own is called "Naked" and the highlight it comes with is the most beautiful, soft pink champagne colour. The texture is buttery and it blends easily on the skin, just like their blushes.

What are your favourite highlighters?
