Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Palette

Urban Decay has always been one of my favourite brands and I get super excited whenever there's rumors of a new palette release or collaboration. I absolutely love Urban Decay eyeshadows and the Naked palettes are my favourite palettes to date. They offer an amazing range of colours, from nudes to bold statement shades, there's something for everyone. It was love at first sight when I first saw pictures of the new release, so this palette went straight onto my Christmas wish list. I was extremely lucky to receive this palette as a Christmas present from my mom and I'm excited to share this review with you today.

Gwen was actually involved throughout the entire development process and she worked with Urban Decay to create a palette full of all the shades she always wished she had in her own makeup collection. The palette features 15 eyehadows, 12 of which are brand new. All the new eyeshadows have been named after elements of her musical career and passion for beauty, giving it a really individual and personal touch. A gorgeous array of nudes and taupes in a variety of mattes and shimmers with two slightly more colourful options.

As you'd expect from Urban Decay, the formula of the shadows is very rich and pigmented, buttery smooth and very blendable. I think there are a lot of wearable shades in this palette, making it perfectly suitable for everyday makeup looks. Harajuku is probably the only shade I’m unlikely to used as much but other than that, I love every single shade included in this palette. Danger is such a stunning blue that I can definitely see myself wearing for a smoky evening look.

The packaging is also absolutely beautiful, these eyeshadows come packaged in a strudy gold and cream case, which really stands out from any other Urban Decay palettes I've seen. Definitely a piece of art in itself. I also love the tiny touches like the mirror which reads “magic’s in the makeup”. I think it's a lovely detail, along with all the stunning colours.

The Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Palette retails for 55€ and will be available for purchase only for a limited time. There are still a few palettes available on the Urban Decay website. Will you be picking up this palette?
