Sometimes trying to keep your blog life organized can be a difficult task. Just like your personal life, your blogging life can run so much smoother and stress-free if you start organizing, scheduling and planning ahead. I guess we all know that between blog posts to plan, current posts to promote and a vast number of emails to catch up on, it can all get a little overwhelming at times. Today I'm sharing my top tips on how I try to keep my blog life organized and I hope you'll find some of these tips helpful.

Make A Plan
Planning ahead is a no-brainer, I like to plan my blog posts and upcoming collaborations way ahead so I always have content to share even when I'm extremely busy with uni work or life. Having some sort of plan for your blog can help you keep focused and save a lot of time. Especially when you're trying to monetize your blog it's important to know what works for you and what doesn't work. Having an idea of your goals definitely pushes you to reach them even more.

Promotion
Promoting your posts and blog is incredibly important but also very time consuming. I find that one of the best ways to promote your content, aside from Instagram and Pinterest is Twitter. I get a lot of traffic through Twitter so I'm always using this app called Buffer to share my posts. It allows you to add tweets to be sent on a set schedule. This comes in really handy when I'm sitting in lectures all day long and don't have the time to post on my account every hour.

Checklists
I always make a checklist for each blog post before and after I hit publish. This list includes proofreading, SEO keywords, good quality images and of course sharing the post on social media and tracking your analytics once it's published. You can actually find a few checklist templates on Pinterest or simply use a notepad like I do!


Weekly Schedule
Creating a weekly schedule is perfect if you're trying to find a routine for your blog. For example, I'm currently posting Mondays and Thursdays but whatever works for you and your content. Having a schedule creates an important consistency and gives your audience something to expect every week. It's also a good idea to keep in mind when your sites busiest and gets the most traffic. My blog happens to get the most pageviews on weekdays so I usually avoid posting on the weekends. I use Google Analytics, which shares everything from how many visitors are currently on my site or how many pageviews I receive.

Find Inspiration & Write It Down
I carry a notebook with me everywhere I go. Ideas for posts can come at the most random times, and the best way for me to capture them is in a notebook. I organize multiple projects, ideas, lists and calendars and for me it's the perfect way to keep your day to day tasks and your content organized. Who else is completely obsessed with notebooks? I could buy a new one every single day because they come in so many cute designs! I recently found this cute notebook on ASOS and I can't wait to use it.
