It's been a few years now since I discovered NYX and became obsessed with their products thanks to watching ridiculous amounts of Youtube videos and reading endless positive reviews on my favourite blogs. NYX has been available in Germany for a while now but the recent launch of their products in the UK has drawn my attention back to the brand. I decided to pop by my local drugstore and have a little browse. You could say that liquid lipsticks are having a bit of a moment right now, or to be more precisely - the world seems to be absolutely obsessed with liquid lipsticks at the moment, and I'm not gonna lie, so am I. Naturally, I decided to treat myself to a few new shades of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams.

Lipsticks are by far my favourite makeup item and I literally end up buying at least one new lipstick whenever I go on a little shopping spree. This time I picked up the shades Morocco and Prague. What I like about these liquid lipsticks is that they're fairly inexpensive and they offer an amazing range of different, wearable shades. The formula is quite impressive, I don't find them to be overly drying even though they're marketed as a matte lip cream. Of course, they dry completely matte, as you would guess, but very comfortable to wear and that way the colour doesn't bleed or rub off.

I knew that I wanted to pick up new shades for the summer so I went with Morocco, a beautiful, bright orangey-red and Prague, this stunning, rich pinky-plum shade. Prague is probably my favourite because I think that plum colours like this one suit my skin tone the best but I can definitely see myself wearing Morocco more often in the summer, with a tan. These lip creams feel very soft and opaque on the lips and I love how easy and precise the application is. As for the staying power, they can last on my lips for hours and hours but they definitely fade when I'm eating or drinking. They also have this gorgeous, fresh vanilla scent! The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are available at douglas.de, feelunique.de, ulta.com or boots.co.uk.

What do you guys think? Have you tried these lip creams yet?
