A Peek Inside My Autumn Makeup Bag

As we transition into autumn I felt like the only right thing to do was to update my makeup bag and switch up my products for the new season. When it comes to my autumn makeup palette, I'm introducing more berry toned or red lipsticks and golden eyeshadows all the way.

I've been absolutely loving the Makeup Forever HD Foundation. While I never reach for a heavy base in the heat and humidity during summer, by September I tend to wear full coverage foundations more often. In my opinion, this is one of the best foundations because a little bit goes a long way and I love how healthy my skin looks whenever I apply a few coats of this liquid foundation with my beauty blender. Autumn is the perfect time to reach for richer and darker lipstick shades. Some gorgeous colours for this season are the Clinique Pop Lip Color & Prime in Rebel Pop or MAC Amorous and Plumful lipsticks. For eyes, I love a good smokey eye and I think that you can never go wrong with a beautiful golden eye makeup look. I love my Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette because it offers a variety of shades that are perfect for this season. This palette has a really good mix of neutral and cool shades, all of them work so well together.

When it comes to choosing the perfect autumn fragrance, I instantly think of Narciso Rodriguez For Her. This is a very deep and powerful scent with the perfect balance between floral and musk - I think it's beautiful. I also really like the chic and minimalistic design of the bottle. Last but not least are nail polishes. Essie nail polishes have always been a favourite of mine and they definitely offer some gorgeous "it" colours for autumn. I think the two classics you can't go wrong with are a good vampy, burgundy shade like Bahama Mama or a classic beige nude like Sand Tropez. I'm sure those are both shades that you'll find in a lot of peoples collections at home.

I would love to hear what you're keeping in your autumn makeup bag!
